Privacy policy

This explains what Citovate collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email, password (stored only as a salted hash), business name and, if you give it, your phone number.
• Business profile: your website, what you do, where you operate, your offerings and competitors, plus the answers you give during setup.
• Check results: the questions we ask AI assistants for you and their answers.
• Website tracking (optional, Pro): if you install our script, we count visits and conversions coming from AI assistants. It sets no cookies and records no personal data about your visitors.

How we use it

• To run your checks, build your reports and operate your account.
• To send your results and tips, only if you tick “Email me my results and tips”. You can opt out at any time.
• To follow up about your account or an upgrade you asked for.

Who we share it with

To produce your report we send your questions, and details about your business, to the AI providers we check (OpenAI, Google, Perplexity and Anthropic). We host on Vercel and store data with Upstash. We don't sell your data.
